The next installment in the Penn Cycle Points Race returns on Thursday.  Following two rain-outs at the beginning of the season, Brandon Krawczyk is on top of the leader board with his win on July 5. This week will show who wants the points towards the podium the most as these riders are very close in standings and the lead could change after this week's race.

Freewheel Bike Corporate Challenge Debuts August 2

Next week, the 5 teams competing in the Freewheel Bike Corporate Challenge will battle for Minnesota Corporate Supremacy.  The teams will compete in an Italian Pursuit, in which each member of the 6-rider teams will race 1 lap at the front of his or her team's paceline.  After completing the lap, the rider will zip up-track and hand over the sprint to the rider behind them.  The first team across the line after 6 laps is the winner of the race.

The teams vying for the first annual Freewheel Bike Corporate Challenge title are:

  • Boston Scientific
  • Frederickson and Byron
  • GE Capital
  • Medtronic
  • RBC

Make sure you come out to cheer on these corporate titans next Thursday.
